First steps with HTML5

Now, seriously. It makes you feel lazy, doesn’t it? You can’t find a single minute in your day to star testing HTML5. But you have to do it because the coolest people in the neighbourhood are using it to design for the iPAd. And this world moves really fast.
So I said to myself:

What if we simply take a look at what we’ve been bookmarking in the last few months and what if we share it with you? A silly way to start testing, not only HTML5 but CSS3 aswell.

Many of you will know already many of the resources I’m going to list. But for those who don’t, I hope you find them useful. :)

    ¿Y libros? Puede sonar antiguo, pero para empezar a tomarte en serio algo a mí lo que mejor me funciona es leer un libro en papel, al que le tienes que dedicar un tiempo y te ayuda a sentar las bases.

    Puede ser lo que mejor ayude a asentar las nociones. Hace tiempo que no compro libros técnicos porque no logro tener tiempo y paciencia… será el caso personal de cada cuál. :D

    De todos modos Diego, me mola esto:
    “The HTML5 spec is 900 pages and hard to read. HTML5 for Web Designers is 85 pages and fun to read. Easy choice.”
    Y como a Clearleft le tengo respeto, y Jeremy Keith pues también… a la buchaca.

    Estamos pensando en hacer un minitaller para crear plantilla base, su reset.css asociado, etc. como artillería para el día a día. Además, haciendo es como mejor se nos quedan grabadas las cosas.

    Con el CSS3 lo cierto es que me he pegado mucho porque es fácil ver la graceful degradation, pero el HTML5 y su soporte por parte de navegadores me ha dado un poco de repelús hasta ahora.

    Nada, intentaremos ir completando un poco la info.

    Muy buena recopilación, y qué buena pinta tendría ese taller! Si lo organizáis avisad con tiempo para intentar hacer hueco en la agenda… :)

    Lo cierto es que tengo unos cuantos enlaces que he ido recopilado relacionados tanto con HTML5 como con CSS3 pero esa muestra es más práctica de cara a empezar a trastear.

    ¡Te abrimos las puertas y la alfombra roja hombre! El taller lo haríamos en plan informal en nuestra baticueva. Y con el fin de que los que participemos colaboremos en sacar unos entregables que podamos llevarnos y usar en nuestro día a día. Repartir tareas y tener una base sobre la que trabajar. Todo en plan ágil. Entre copichuela, pastita, tortillica guatquera y alegre algarabía. Luego es decirle a Mark Boulton a ver si se anima y tal…. XD
