Manfred is not a typical recruiting agency; rather, it is a company that prioritizes the well-being of individuals working in the tech industry who are seeking career advancement. We are their design team, assisting them in developing both their recruiting services and their public CV creation product.

Challenges

When we joined the project, Manfred functioned as a no-code company, limiting users’ control over the provided information. If any changes were needed in their CVs, the interaction with the recruiting team was close but lacked independence. We are all familiar with how tedious it can be to enter our data on job-seeking websites, so ensuring a fast and easy onboarding process was truly essential.

Our contribution

We instilled a collaborative design culture within Manfred, going beyond the provision of tools like a design system or a research-oriented mindset for the product team. Our collaboration extends to working closely with product managers to define features and with the development team to facilitate seamless handoffs.

We created a job offer template that not only provides information and attracts job seekers, but also offers easy personalization for each job through a modular approach.

Our conceptualization and design efforts encompass not only a streamlined onboarding and data introduction process, but an entire platform where users can maintain up-to-date information. We also harnessed the excellent tools provided by Manfred to enhance careers in the tech industry, including reports, a salary benchmarking feature and a shareable CV/profile creation tool.

In contrast, we designed an onboarding form that is much more fluid, allowing users to skip steps and input data at their convenience. We took care to integrate text areas for longer responses and provide option fields for making choices in an efficient and swift manner.
